Where will the summer yearbook workshop be located?
We are thrilled to be at the beautiful Alpharetta High School this year!
When is the workshop?
Tuesday, June 3rd - Wednesday, June 4th.
The workshop begins on Tuesday, June 3rd and will end the afternoon of Wednesday, June 4th (3:00 PM).
What time does the workshop begin and end?
Registration: 8:00 - 10:00 AM (Tuesday, June 3rd)
Opening Session Begins: 10:00 AM (Tuesday, June 3rd)
Closing Session Ends: 3:00 PM (Wednesday, June 4th)
If the workshop is located at a school during the day, where will our accommodations be the night of June 3rd?
On-site attendees will be staying at nearby Even Hotel Alpharetta. Your registration provides access to a room with either 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed - with a 15’ pillow-top mattress, in-room fitness zone, Mini-refrigerator, LED mood-changing lights, and sitting and stand-up workspaces. Walk to Avalon for delectable local dining, stylish shops, entertainment, and more. The hotel will be providing shuttle service to Alpharetta High School the morning of June 4th.
How many attendees can stay in a room?
You can select a room with an occupancy of 1-4 attendees, with the option to add an Early Arrival Fun Pass (see below).
Will you be offering the Early Arrival Fun Pass this year?
Yes! Your staff can arrive as early as 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2nd. Settle in at the Even Hotel, bond as a staff, and have fun walking to downtown Alpharetta or the Avalon for delectable local dining, stylish shops, entertainment, and more before the workshop begins. There is no obligation to arrive early. Please note the Early Arrival Fun pass does not include food the evening of the 3rd and the morning of the 4th.
What if we just want to attend the workshop for the day, without an overnight stay?
We offer multiple options for commuters, including a single-day pass, a 2-day pass, and a Cover Session pass. Choose the option that works for you and your school.
Can Middle School advisers and staffs attend?
Yes! We'd love to have you join us. Sessions will be geared towards a variety of interests and experience levels.
Tell me more about the Cover Session Pass.
For schools that simply want to come and work with an artist to design their cover, we suggest the Cover Session pass. The cost is $50 per school with a maximum number of 4 attendees. Spend an hour with us to get your 2025 cover designed and ready to go! Please note all other workshop registration options include a cover session.
Are meals included in the workshop fee?
Yes! Meals are included for all on-site overnight attendees. Commuter attendees will be provided lunch daily.

What type of agenda can my staff expect at Summer Workshop?
The agenda will be filled with theme presentations, coverage inspirations, crucial staff planning time and even room for some fun in nearby downtown Alpharetta. We are so excited to offer the opportunity for you to get tons of work done AND help your staff bond.
What is the process for paying with a check?

What agenda can advisers like me expect at Summer Workshop?
Advisers will have the opportunity to send their students to different presentation rooms for a variety of classes. We will be training on Yearbook Avenue, both Layout Pro and Monarch. There will be an opportunity for advisers to get together to enjoy a roundtable setting alongside one of our amazing tenured advisers who will lead the session.
What time will the workshop end on June 4th?
The workshop will end by no later than 4:00 p.m. on June 4th. Commuters can expect each day to wrap up around 4:00 p.m.
What items should my staff and I bring?
For the workshop, please bring a copy of the 2025 yearbook and any materials you feel will help you in the planning process (theme for 2026, ladder, notebook, pens, pencils, etc.). Many attendees like to use their laptops to work on spread designs. Photographers should bring a digital DSLR camera, memory cards, chargers, as well as any lenses and detachable flashes you may have.
Are parent chaperones welcome to come?
Chaperones are welcome, but must be registered as an attendee and pay the registration fee.
Can students pay with a credit card for their individual workshop fee?
Yes, please contact us to receive instructions.
May I use this towards my professional development credits?
Absolutely!
What is the cancellation policy and would we be refunded?
All registrations must be finalized by May 15th, 2025. No refunds after May 25th, 2025. However, your school may replace a yearbook staff member if needed.
I have specific dietary needs? Will you be able to accommodate me?
Yes. Just let us know in advance so we can work with you.
Will you accept credit cards?
We accept checks and credit card payments.
Are registration and payments accepted after May 15th?
Commuter and cover session payments will be accepted until June 1st. Because Even Hotel requires a rooming list on May 15th, we will not be able to accept overnight attendee registration after that date.
